Spot Details
- Poste Lafayette is great for many reasons.
- Good for beginners as plenty of beach space for launching. Owing to the curved shape of the shore, the launching spot is already 20 to 30 meters away from the shore. The wind being generally onshore, the spot is safe and does not require boat rescues. Relatively shallow at a few metres from the shore although it it not advisable to stand in without shoes. No currents or particuliar hazards.
Good for intermediary riders as it is far from crowded, (just a few riders on weekends) and for those who are not yet good at going upwind, they can safely land at any point on the beach to walk upwind again.
Good for confirmed riders has there are 2 flat water zones, good for jumping and some wave spots to carefully discover by following the locals.
Excellent regular wind conditions, especially in winter
To avoid! Launching from the public beach on Sundays in order not to cause inconvenience to the local public on their (only) family day at the sea.
Recommended accommodation:Beach villas; ideal for groups, some have beaches suitable for launching.
